In the 1970’s, a group of believers put an Ad in the local paper saying, “I found it,” along with a phone number that folks could call. Many people called to ask what it was they found, to see if it was an item they lost, only to hear a message that they found Jesus, and He changed their life forever!
If you are reading this note, you have stumbled upon a small, friendly church, where God’s people worship and fellowship together. It is a loving place, where you can grow and feel cared for, a place where you will be fed spiritually and use the gifts God has given you. But what sets us apart from so many other churches may be summarized in the words Jesus spoke in Matthew 22:37-40, which say: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” The instructions are clear... Vertically we are called to love and worship the Lord our God, and then horizontally, to love one another. This is our mission and singular purpose, here at Immanuel OPC! Shalom Pastor Joseph P. Trombetta |
